In the “fullscreen composer” editor (basically the one I use 99% of the time with my mod page) there’s an issue where if you select text with your mouse it’ll bounce all the way back up to the top but still have the text selected, so you have to drop your selection my pressing an arrow key to make it quickly jump back to where you were (rather than use the scrollbar which takes a while on a long page).
So I’ve been having to select text with my keyboard instead in order to keep my place. (the long mod page requires a lot of editing, hence the “losing my place”, it’s a big wall of text and formatting.)
Also, when scrolling in the editor side it’ll scroll in both the editor side and preview side by percentage, but it won’t be showing the same thing. As in, if you use a lot of Hide Details or Footnotes in your post that’ll make the editor side much longer than the preview side.
So, for example, on the editor side I might be seeing the “Mod Introduction” section of my mod page, but on the preview side it’ll be way lower in the page, past the Introduction, past the Initial Notes section, and showing the Download section.
So it’s like, you have to scroll in the editor side to get to where you wanna edit and then scroll up/down all the way to that same section in the preview side so that they’ll match and you can see what you’re changing.
Also, in the same vein as that, if you open up a Hide Details bar in the previewer and then type in the editor it’ll re-close that Hide Details, which means I can’t expand all of them in the preview (so that they scroll more evenly) and continue editing.
Anywho, that’s all the issues I’ve got to mention for now.
