[SPOILER=“Xenoblade 2 and Xenosaga spoilers”]I really think a lot about how Mikhail isn’t that different from the URTVs in a way–intense trauma as a child, basically being made into a weapon and having your childhood taken away from you, I just…have a lot of feelings I don’t know how to put into words.

Everything I know about Xenoblade I know by way of seeing Shulk briefly in Smash Bros but I keep seeing your fic like YES THEY DO DESERVE HUGS AND FRIENDS, EXCELLENT, A++++

Chapter 16 is now available for reading!

I really can’t explain why this took me as long as it did. This and the next few chapters are basically montages of the URTVs growing up and the formation of the Kukai Foundation. I know what I want to write, I just am struggling to write it DX

Author’s commentary under the cut!

[SPOILER=“Xenosaga spoilers”]Soooo. This is going to stray far into headcanon territory, but I do think the anti-Red Dragon Drive measures Yuriev put in Gaignun and Citrine were basically Red Dragon Drives of their own. Because I don’t know how else to make sense of the powers they have.

The birthday scene is best listened to with something like The Last Stand from Final Fantasy XIV or Home from Undertale. Just a slightly goofy, mostly heartwarming scene of this found family giving these kids birthdays.

Citrine and Patroka becoming Blade and Driver is an idea I’ve had in the works for a while. I even have their art names ready to go![/SPOILER]

Next chapter: hurt/comfort, Shelley and Mary finally enter the picture, and we get another name change!

Chapter 17 of Tornasaga is now available!

So I had an unwelcome realization when I saw that, in canon, Mary and Shelley don’t get rescued from the unknown pharmaceutical company until two years after the Miltian Conflict.

And we’re only coming up now on one year post-Conflict.

Oops.

Chapter 18 of Tornasaga is up! MAJOR XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 3: FUTURE REDEEMED SPOILERS.

Future Redeemed, huh?

When I started this fic, admittedly, all I really wanted to do was write Malos and Gaignun becoming a Driver-Blade duo and killing Yuriev. For shits and giggles.

I didn’t expect to have Malos be able to have a canon reason for him to hate Yuriev. Legit, I don’t even know how to put it into words, I’m still shocked.

God, though. All this makes me do is pity Klaus. And I hated Klaus! But now, if he was staring at both the Salvators/Saviorites trying to take the Zohar and the possibility of the war between the Ganglion and the Ghosts destroying Earth…suddenly, all I can do is pity him.

The title for this chapter was taking from Final Fantasy XIV. I go more into detail in the author’s notes proper, but it’s taken from two Endwalker tracks: Of Countless Stars and Stars Long Dead. If you know, you know.

…it’s hitting me while I write this that Meyneth/Galea may have never known the truth. Maybe she thought the Saviorites could be reasoned with. Maybe there was another way out of that situation.

But if Yuriev was at the helm this whole time, I could only see it ending in bloodshed.[/SPOILER]
