Fixed Topic/Reply Issue + some updates

Hey all,

I have tentatively fixed the issue where the wrong replies were matched to the wrong topics. Unfortunately this deleted any newly created topics.

Apologies to anyone who created a new topic, feel free to recreate it. The database should be ok now.

Some attachments are now coming through. I may need to install a plugin that adds extended BB code support. Unfortunately, some stuff might not come in at all and I can’t spend too much time fussing about it. Thankfully I do have complete backups so I can grab anything anyone requests.

Theme is temporary, looking for a better one and a way to easily allow users to toggle their theme from the sidebar. I also added a few other plugins that allow for Forum signatures, reacts, and fediverse posting.

Thanks for your patience, hopefully; we can open the beta in a few days and I can then focus on getting the gallery ported over.

Thanks for all your hard work on this, as always!

A few things I’m noticing, just in case they’re relevant to others:

  • Requesting to log in via an emailed login link sent a request to you to be approved for an account
  • It associated my account with my existing replies/topics that had been imported (presumably since it’s the same email I used for the prior forum)
  • It pulled my OpenID avatar, which is interesting to me
  • The login links went to spam on Yahoo! (not entirely surprising, because it’s Yahoo!, but we should check with Gmail etc too)

For now I’ll leave my account profile etc. alone so it’s a blank slate for any other data to import over, where possible. Please let me know if you could use help testing anything specific!
