hm, yeah that is pretty similar with the color/design combo. And no, the flutes arent magic. …though there is something unexplained with the off-seeing in general that makes me go ‘wtf is up with that’ that you might possibly explain as ‘magic’ or.. something…

Thanks! Before I started sharing stuff it was like, I’d make something, stick it in my current year art folder, move onto the next piece, and they’d sit in there collecting dust never to be seen by anyone else, so Im glad someone’s enjoying them
This is likely an extremely late reply, but I just want to tell you that your art is incredible. This kind of stuff is a huge part of why I am glad this place exists. I am also happy to see representation from all of the different franchises.

Of course! While right now all Ive got swimming in my brain is Xenogears, no doubt Ill go back to doing more for Xenoblade and also Xenosaga as I complete the games.

zest over on Twt (@rhythmshock, go check her stuff out, its great) made an amazing Lacan design and it inspired me to try my hand at my own.
He’s got his little paint case seen with him in Nisan which I put the symbol of Aveh on. I think since he came from nearby Lahan that he might’ve gotten it as a gift from someone who visited Bledavik or went there sometime himself to pick up quality paint supplies. And I gave him a little pouch on one hip and a scroll/parchment holder on the other. And now, living in Nisan, he’s got a little half cape after being pulled into the conflict, much like Krelian’s.
Definitely didnt want to deviate too far from Grahf or Fei’s designs or add too much busy details, though. Wanted to keep it about as simple as the XG designs in general so I didn’t wanna give him too much leather armor either. Did a bit of a recolor of Grahf’s stuff (the pants, shoes) as the black just didnt suit him and I definitely wanted to keep his top the white and blue as a nod to his in-game sprite reusing Fei’s.
The second Fei chibi I was going to save til summer, but like, thats so long from now. He got his hands on another fish. I actually went to The Spriters Resource to find said fish so I knew what kind of fish it was lol
And as for the third from last- I unintentionally made this one as a mirror to the other one I’d done before which was really happy and only realized partway through the sketch phase.
I feel years after the game ends they would still be healing from trauma. Especially Fei, of his own as well as the collective he gained.
