Man i’m so happy that a new xeno game got announced in the latest direct. What did you all think of it?

Curious, but intrigued! Wish the Switch 2 was cheaper, though, I’ll probably wind up just watching cutscenes on YouTube.

I was happy with the new Switch 2 editions. The Genesis announcement was a nice surprise. Looks like a different direction from the previous entries, but excited to see more of it!

Yeah iirc Takahashi said that he wanted to defy fans’ expectations. And this definitely defied my expectations, even if I wasn’t expecting anything particularly concrete.

yeah it kind of looks like fire emblem tbh, and the fact it takes place in a school reminds me of three houses even more. Knowing monolithsoft though i’m sure the game is going to be another banger.
yeah i’m lucky my gf has a switch 2 because the price is kind of ridiculous. a 50% price increase from switch to switch 2 is kind of crazy.

I’m honestly a bit surprised that Xenoblade and Fire Emblem are debuting on the Switch 2 earlier than Mario or Zelda. I was thinking of getting a Switch 2 later down the line when more game I’m interested are already available, but now thanks to Xenoblade that timeline has moved up significantly quicker than anticipated.

The Switch 2 launch window lineup has felt a bit odd to me in general, but since Fire Emblem & Xenoblade are my personal system sellers I can’t say I mind too much.
It also helps that I feel that Xenoblade (and FE) is one of those series that really iterates and does something interesting with each new game.

I wasn’t sure if I’d be getting the Switch 2, but that’s pretty much sealed the deal for me at this point. I’m looking forward to seeing more information on this!
